Atwood, a forest ranger, stumbled upon a young, injured tiger cub in the snow.
Filled with compassion, he decided to take the cub home, where he nursed it back to health and named it Gore.
Atwood’s care for Gore was unwavering.
He fed the cub milk from his own dog and carefully bandaged its broken leg.
Over several months, the little cub grew into a majestic and powerful tiger.
Recognizing that Gore belonged in the wild, Atwood eventually took him back to the forest to set him free.
However, the tiger was initially reluctant to leave the man who had saved him.
Years later, Atwood fell seriously ill and fainted while on patrol in the mountains.
Another time, he was injured by a falling tree during a raging forest fire and passed out once more.
In a miraculous turn of events, a tiger appeared and rescued him, dragging him away from the fire and leading him to safety.
As Atwood recovered, he noticed a familiar scar on the tiger’s leg and realized with immense gratitude that it was Gore, the very tiger he had saved so many years ago.
