Best Whoodle Breeder in OH
I’ve lived almost my entire life in the great state of Ohio. Yet, I never came across a Whoodle! Since I’ve moved away, I’ve seen tons of adorable Whoodles that live in Ohio (thanks Instagram!).
Despite the rising popularity of the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier-Poodle mix, there is only one established breeder in Ohio: Terri’s Whoodles and Doodles. This is likely to change in the future as more breeders start to shift towards Doodle breeds.

Whoodle Breeders in Driving Distance of Ohio
Sometimes the perfect pup is worth a drive! Throughout my years of dog ownership, I have driven to breeders all over the United States. The following Whoodle breeders are within a reasonable driving distance of Ohio.
1. Feathers and Fleece
Feathers and Fleece has been breeding dogs since 1993. It is a unique dog breeder since it operates as a farm, and the property is covered in gardens. They have a staff of 11 members, including an onsite veterinarian.
They breed Whoodles, Sheepadoodles, Schnoodles, and Newfkoms. They offer training which is led by their onsite training staff. If you’re interested in emotional support dog training, Feathers and Fleece provides a 4-week training.
This is not your typical family breeder. They are a full-scale breeder with a lot to offer.
Below is the driving distance from Feathers and Fleece to a few different Ohio cities:
- 3.5 hours to Columbus
- 2 hours to Cincinnati
- 5.5 hours to Cleveland
Feathers and Fleece is devoted to ensuring their puppies are well-socialized. Their onsite veterinarian helps to keep each litter as healthy as possible. They are the only breeder I know of with an onsite vet to tend to the puppies.
Feathers and Fleece breed both standard Whoodles and Mini Whoodles. Their price for both sizes is set at $2,400.
If you want the pick of the litter, then you will need to pay an additional $500.
The first step in purchasing from Feathers and Fleece is to fill out their application. It can be found on their website under the Application tab. They require a deposit of $200.
Feathers and Fleece Reviews
The reviews of Feathers and Fleece are varied. To be fair, I have included both a negative and a positive review. I encourage you to do your own research if you decide to go with this breeder.
“We had a great experience with Feathers and Fleece! . . . once the puppies were born we received weekly updates with a new photo each week. Katie was very responsive to all of our questions via email throughout the entire process . . . Our puppy was healthy and happy when we received him . . . the vet said he looked great and was very healthy. We couldn’t be happier . . . and we highly recommend Feathers and Fleece!”Luci
“Communication is terrible. They don’t answer their phone and sporadically respond to emails . . . Jennifer said one of her workers would fly my puppy out for me . . . A few days before, she told me none of her workers were available and they had to ship my puppy out to me in cargo . . . Fast forward to 8 months later, my puppy is super anxious and is fearful of everything. I am convinced it is due to his cargo experience coupled with poor socialization as a puppy.”Melanie S.

“Finnegan, is the snuggliest, most loving dog I’ve ever had. He tempers this by also being extraordinarily playful . . . He is super healthy . . . He’s also very empathetic and sweet to my parents senior dogs. Erin herself is fantastic. The experience with her was great and I’ve recommended to friends to look her up. I would not hesitate to get another dog from this breeder . . .”Karlynn T.

Whoodle Breeders That Ship to Ohio
If you don’t feel like making a long road trip to pick up your Whoodle puppy, I understand! Luckily, a handful of Whoodle breeders across the U.S. offer shipping to Ohio by air or ground.
1. Winsome Wheatens
Winsome Wheatens is a family-run breeder. They are a family of eight and have been breeding Wheaten Terriers for over 15 years. Their love for Wheatens was sparked by a chance encounter with a pup named Snickers. The rest was history.
As you know, the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier is a parent breed to the lovely Whoodle. The Bradford family took a liking to this cute new mix. They’ve been breeding Whoodles for over the past five years.
They breed medium Whoodles and Mini Whoodles.
The Bradford family raises each puppy with love and care. Each puppy comes with booster shots and deworming. They encourage families to go and check out their location.
The great part about Winsome Wheatens is that you don’t have to make that long drive from Ohio. They offer shipping for around $375. The process is handled by a third-party company called Airbound Pets.
They charge $1,500 for a Whoodle puppy. They don’t change prices based on gender, size, or color.
Winsome Wheatens Reviews
“Ted is a Winsome “Whoodle” that we adopted at 7 months old. He has been a pure joy and has completed our family. Winsome Wheatens were very accommodating during the transport of getting him all the way to Indiana. We will continue to stay in touch and up to date on future litters in the event we ever want our family to grow some more!”Amber S.
“Totally recommend Winsome Wheatens! Had our baby shipped to Northern California two months ago. We went with one of her older Whoodle pups now 7 months old. He is so sweet, funny and loves lots of belly rubs. Susanna was so easy to work with when narrowing down our pick out of 3 males. We will definitely get out next dog from this breeder.”Shelly S.

2. My Whoodle
My Whoodle is a top-notch Whoodle breeder located in Blackfoot, ID. They take pride in offering the healthiest puppies possible. Each pup is raised with love and care.
My Whoodle is confident they use the healthiest parent dogs for their litter. Each dog is genetically tested to ensure they are free of health issues and diseases. They don’t want the possibility of any risk being passed on to their puppies.
They also test their dogs’ bones and joints for arthritis and hip/elbow dysplasia. This is done through OFA screening.
My Whoodle offers an 8-year health guarantee, the longest health guarantee I’ve come across in breeders. They offer such an extended health guarantee because most genetic or hereditary diseases do not manifest until the dog is much older.
Their guarantee covers many different health issues. More specifics are offered on their website under the Health Guarantee tab.
A puppy from My Whoodle costs $3,500. This price includes micro-chipping, an 8-year health guarantee, and a puppy starter kit.
They do not upcharge or offer discounts based on gender, color, or size. Each puppy is the same price regardless.
Ohio to Colorado is one heck of a road trip. Luckily, My Whoodle offers shipping. They will ship your puppy via flight or ground transportation. Either option will include a travel nanny who will care for your pup the entire time!
To purchase a Whoodle puppy from My Whoodle, you must fill out an application on their website. If approved, you will then be able to put down a deposit. Then, you will need to wait for a puppy announcement.
