Are you looking for Sheepadoodle puppies in Colorado?

It is hard to choose from all the different Doodle breeders out there. To help make your decision easier, I’ve compiled the best Sheepadoodle breeders in CO.

In this post, I will cover the following Sheepadoodle breeders in Colorado:

  • Once Upon a Doodle
  • Puppy Paws Colorado
  • The Doodle Farm

Check them out!

1. Once Upon a Doodle

With a whimsical name like “Once Upon a Doodle,” you can start your four-legged friend’s forever home fairytale with this breeder.

Raising Puppies

As this breeder states on their website, they raise their pups “like family.” This includes a robust socialization program, licensed veterinarian checks, vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping.

For potential puppy parents who want all the joys of a puppy without the early training challenges, this breeder also partners with Aly’s Puppy Bootcamp to fully train some puppies.

Those puppies have an extra charge of $12,000 to cover their training, but this investment will pay for itself for a new owner or one short on time and patience to train a puppy from scratch.

How much is a puppy from Once Upon a Doodle?

At a minimum, the cost for one of their puppies of any gender, color, or marking pattern is $3,500.

This price increases if you add travel costs, such as $250 for airport drop-off or $1,250+ for hand delivery. You can add $12,000 for training costs if you choose a trained puppy.

Application & Adoption Process

Applying for a mini or micro Sheepadoodle at Once Upon a Doodle is reasonably straightforward.

Once you’ve headed to their website, you can complete an application directly. After you have completed and submitted the application, the breeders will review your details.

Within 48 hours, they should contact you with the go-ahead to pay a reservation fee as long as you are approved.

Approved applicants will need to provide a $400 reservation fee.

Waitlist

This fee is a non-refundable deposit for your place on their waiting list. If you miss out on the current litter, you can transfer the deposit to an upcoming litter, so you don’t lose out on the investment.

Once you have paid the reservation fee and have a space on the waitlist, you can expect the breeder to contact you to choose a puppy when the current litter is about six weeks old.

You can visit the puppies in person at the breeder’s home if you are local.

If you want to adopt a puppy from further away, the breeder can help you select your puppy through a video call.

While the waitlist order determines puppy selection preference, the breeder will work with you to choose a puppy whose temperament and coat fit your needs.

After you have selected your puppy through an in-person visit or a Facetime call, you can take your new puppy home. You’ll pick up the puppy there if you live within driving distance.

Puppy pickup options

Once Upon a Doodle offers two travel options for those living out of state or hours away.

When you want to relish the journey home with your new pup, you can meet the breeder at the Denver International Airport, who will hand off the puppy of your choice with some extra goodies.

This is the most cost-effective option for $250 on top of the reservation fee and other costs.

If you can’t find the time to go to the Denver International Airport, Once Upon a Doodle hand-delivers puppies to you on a limited basis.

This option can cost upwards of $1,250, but it is worth it if it means bringing your ideal puppy home forever.

For this option, you must inquire about availability and prepare to spend more on getting your puppy home.

Health Guarantee

Puppies from Once Upon a Deal come with a two-year health guarantee.

Once Upon a Doodle Reviews

Below are some reviews for Once Upon a Doodle from previous buyers:

“Sydnee did such an amazing and thorough job preparing our pup, Elmer, and it showed immediately. Elmer’s curiosity and loving personality were immediately apparent from the moment she placed him in my arms.

Already accustomed to a crate thanks to Sydnee, he transitioned to living with us very smoothly . . . Sydnee remained a fantastic and informative resource. Today Elmer is the most loving, sweet, happy dog!

He loves every creature he’s ever met, and he is particularly gentle and playful with kids . . . He’s been such a joyful and wonderful addition to our family. We recommend Once Upon A Doodle wholeheartedly!”

“Sarah does an amazing job of creating wonderful puppies. Anyone can breed but Sarah does it with Excellence all the way through the process.

She makes sure her puppy parents have all the health checks and certifications done and is professional in how she handles her new puppy families.

I was impressed that she was recognized by GANA and Good dog as a great breeder! I would recommend her to anyone without reservations!”

Sara S.

“Sarah was so sweet and kind during the process of adopting our new puppy. She took the time to explain the breed and let us visit with her to keep a relationship with our puppy.

Our sweet puppy also got crate trained as per our request.

All her dogs are so sweet and loving. My kids loved going and seeing all her dogs. We have never been with a breeder and were nervous.

We had a great experience and would definitely get another one from her. Our Maple is the sweetest and smartest dog ever.”

If you want a Sheepadoodle who has been raised with care, The Doodle Farm is hard to beat.

Their Doodle dogs undergo impressive training, so they are ready to go home with you on pick-up day.

Raising Puppies

After the puppies have had five weeks to adjust to life outside the womb, they begin a unique program that gives them a routine.

The puppies are exposed to essential potty training concepts. They also show the puppies how to operate a dog door.

They also learn how to go up and down inclines so that they are better equipped to handle steps when they go home.

Training on walking on different textures ensures that the puppies won’t have an aversion to your carpet or hardwood. In upcoming years, they will be crate trained for nighttime.

The puppies are prepared to live in their new homes, whatever they look and feel like.
